The Beaches of Acapulco, Mexico
While its beaches are gorgeous, Acapulco’s crime rate is almost 30 times that of the average American city. In the 1950s, once a favourite holiday destination for Hollywood’s biggest stars, the area is now overrun by gang crime. The high number of murders were mostly associated with drugs, but sadly, visitors are often stuck in the middle.
