When you plan your vacation, you probably make a list of the places you want to go. But do not rush to go to the most typical tourist destinations. You can find them on any site on the Internet, but why do you need them? Such places are usually very crowded, and nothing is interesting. You have the opportunity to visit more interesting places in the same country you are traveling to.

We're here to warn you that any Blarney Stone beliefs you may have are most likely false. If you ever visit Ireland, you've undoubtedly been urged to kiss the Blarney Stone, for example. It's just a wall where people lean back and kiss. When you consider the millions of individuals who have visited the stronghold to kiss, you don't want to lay your lips on the smooth surface – which, by the way, is all smooth because so many people have brushed their lips against the stone. Instead, you can investigate another location, but we'll save that for later.

If you only want to go there to claim you've been there, we recommend skipping them entirely. Instead, we'll recommend interesting places to visit. Many of these venues are less busy, providing you with the experience you seek.

Don't Visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Tuscany

Is Pisa's Leaning Tower beautiful? Yes, indeed. Is it loud? Yes, indeed. Is there anything else to do in Pisa? It isn't. The Leaning Tower no longer leans significantly. If you're traveling to Pisa, you'll have to pass through Florence anyhow, and there are lots of other (better) attractions to see.

Visit the Duomo in Tuscany

Being the cradle of the Renaissance, Florence has a lot to offer. Which do we prefer? Cathedral. Taking the tiny stairway to the top of the Duomo is an inexpensive exercise that is well worth seeing. Ticket prices include Brunelleschi's Dome, Giotto's Bell Tower, San Giovanni Baptistery, Santa Reparata Crypt, and the Opera Museum.

Don't Visit the Louvre to See the "Mona Lisa"

On July 6, 2019, Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa painting was displayed at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. The Mona Lisa may be the World's most famous painting, but it's also little, housed behind bulletproof glass, and people must cluster behind barricades that keep them a yard away.

Visit the Musée d'Orsay in Paris

Instead than fighting the crowds, visit the Musée d'Orsay, which has 34 Manets, 56 Cézannes, 86 Monets, and 24 van Goghs. On the other hand, the Louver features four paintings by well-known painters.

Don't Visit Times Square in New York

Times Square has no reason to stay open unless it's New Year's Eve. It is busy, crammed with mascots demanding money for photos, and lined with absurdly costly chain eateries.

Visit the High Line in New York

Visit the High Line in Manhattan's Chelsea area for a more authentic NYC experience. You'll see some countryside and have the option of stopping for lunch at a local restaurant.

Don't Visit Cancun in Mexico

Don't Visit the Parthenon in Greece

Visit the Temple of Poseidon in Greece

Consider Poseidon Temple instead if you can't imagine visiting Greece without viewing a ruined temple. It's not as crowded as the Parthenon, but it's just as beautiful because of its coastal position.

Don't Visit Disney World in Florida

I'm not anti-Disney World—on paper, it sounds amusing. However, you don't see on paper large crowds, harsh Florida heat, and a steep price tag. And, if you want to be sure of acquiring all of the Quick Passes and bookings you desire, plan your vacation at least 6 months ahead of time. Who knew a vacation could be so exhausting?

Visit the Everglades in Florida

Disney World has a cute, adorable mouse, but they also have old, heartless alligators. What I mean is that I know who would win a head-to-head match. If you must go to Florida, I believe the best rationale is to explore its numerous diverse ecosystems, none more so than the marshy Everglades.
