It is always good to take something to eat with you when you set off on a journey. There might be no opportunity to buy food, for example, if you travel to a remote location or if your journey is long-lasting. Finding the right meals might be especially difficult if you stick to any diet due to religious reasons or specific eating habits. Moreover, having some tasty and healthy snacks while on the road is a great chance to pass the time. Probably the best idea of a snack to take with you into a journey is methi theplas. Tasty and aromatic, they are also convenient to pack with you or carry around. If you want to cook some, you’ll need a whole wheat flour for the dough and various seasonings and ingredients to make it flavored. Still, it is better to avoid using curds, as this way your theplas will longer remain fresh. Another way to make theplas last longer is to add a lot of oil. It will also make them more delicious. Follow these instructions, and you will enjoy fresh and tasty theplas for almost two weeks (don’t forget to keep them in a fridge). Later, you will need to warm them and enjoy pickles and curds.  

Bhadang Murmura: Enjoy at Home and while Traveling

Delightful and tasty, Bhadang Murmura is made of puffed rice with curry leaves, some garlic, and green chilies. Another interesting component is peanuts: these crunchy nuts add to the dish’s rich texture and flavor. You can take some Chivdas with you to enjoy while traveling. What is more, these are very convenient to have at hand in case you feel hungry while being at home. Add some tomatoes, onions, and some lemon juice and enjoy! 

Farsi Puri: Unique Flavor and Texture

Farsi Puri is another well-known snack. This dish is usually deep-fried, made with simple ingredients and easy to cook. It has a one-of-a-kind flavor and texture due to such components as semolina and ghee, which are added to the plain flour dough. Black pepper, yet another ingredient, also adds to the flavor. 

Masala Puri: Baked Version with Fewer Calories

Another snack that is well-known and liked by many is masala puri. Even though those who control their weight can enjoy this dish: even though it is usually fried, there is a healthier baked version. Use the puris to make Sev Puri, Bhel Puri, Chaat – the choice is yours. Such a snack will contain as little as a hundred calories.
